Having trouble finding a chord? Like a F# or a Dbm? With this chord finder you don't have to memorise all the scales, or even understand what scales are to build your chords. Basically, it's time to throw away your chord dictionary!

Let's look at the formulas for Major chord and Minor chord:

 L ooks difficult? Actually it's pretty easy.

Take R as the root. For example if you want to play the chord Bb Major. R would be Bb, which is the Root for Bb major chord. (Diagram below)

Using the formula, we'll move chromatically (Black Keys are included!) to the right by 4 steps to find the next note. The formula once again is: R + 4 + 3 (Diagram below)

Then, we'll move on 3 steps to find the last note in the Bb major chord (Diagram below)

There you have it Bb major Chord. That's not so difficult after all. It is just SO easy. Right? Now, pick a minor chord and build your chord now! Remember, a minor chord formula is different from a major chord. Check out the formula above again.
