FREE ONLINE LESSONS (Ending a Song Using Chord Progressions)

There are many ways to end a song, and especially in pop improvisation, there is absolutely no necessity to end the song in its (original) arrangement as written. Normally the ending of a song will be I chord, (.e.g. C key = C chord as I chord)

Example 1: Ending of Silent Night

It will be interesting to then substitute the (I chord) with a series of chords. Here are some possible ending progressions

It will be good if you are able to use those ending progressions in other keys too! So try them out in different songs and different keys!
